AFFAC – Association For Fight Against Cancer
Preventing cancer, saving lives, empowering communities.
Who We Are
The Association For Fight Against Cancer (AFFAC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing cancer deaths in Cameroon through awareness, prevention, early detection, and community empowerment.
Born from years of frontline experience with cancer patients , AFFAC was created in response to the alarming reality that 75% of patients are diagnosed with cancer at late stages.
Our Mission
To fight cancer through prevention and early detection, empower communities with knowledge, and ensure access to screening and follow-up care across Cameroon.
What We Do
Awareness & Sensitization
We educate communities through campaigns, workshops, schools, and media platforms—changing mindsets and breaking the stigma around cancer.
Free Screenings
With our mobile clinics, we provide free screening for breast, cervical, and prostate cancers in all 10 regions of Cameroon. Our goal is to screen 20,000 people in 3 years.
Capacity Building
We train healthcare workers and organize workshops to strengthen cancer care knowledge and services across the country.
Partnerships
We collaborate with 150+ local health facilities, hospitals, and social groups to ensure patients get continuous care and treatment.

Community Outreach
Cancer is often misunderstood in Cameroon—sometimes seen as a curse or witchcraft.
AFFAC works directly with schools, community leaders, and social groups to spread the truth: cancer is a disease, and early detection saves lives.
